Shanto is the younger of two siblings. His elder sister is already married, leaving Shanto as the only child currently dependent on his parents. Shanto’s father works at event decoration sites, cleaning plates and utensils after functions. This work is irregular. Some days there is work, and other days there is none making his income unstable and uncertain. With such inconsistency, managing the family’s daily expenses has become increasingly difficult. Shanto’s mother previously worked in a garment factory, but due to deteriorating eyesight, she is no longer able to continue that work.
