Aysha Siddiqua Labiba
(Karail Bowbazar, Dhaka)
Aysha is an excellent student who is deeply committed to her education. She never misses her classes and approaches her studies with sincerity and dedication. Seeing her strong interest and discipline, Aysha’s parents continue to struggle and make sacrifices so that her education is not interrupted. Aysha’s father drives an auto-rickshaw, but his income is very limited and unstable. It is often not enough to meet the family’s daily needs. Her mother previously worked, but after the birth of a younger child, she had to stop working as there was no one else to take care of the baby. She tried to return to work, but during that time, Aysha’s younger brother became seriously ill, forcing her to quit her job once again. Aysha’s younger brother suffers from stomach and kidney problems, and his ongoing treatment requires significant medical expenses. Aysha also has an elder brother who studies at a madrasa. Understanding the family’s situation, the teachers have reduced his tuition fees, but even the reduced costs are very difficult for the parents to manage. Between medical bills, household expenses, and education costs, Aysha’s parents are under constant financial pressure. A sponsorship for Aysha would allow her to continue her studies without worry and would bring much-needed relief to her family, giving them hope for a more stable future.
