Md. Tanvir
(Karail Bowbazar, Dhaka)
Tanvir has just been promoted to Class 2. His life, however, has been filled with hardship from a very young age. His father works as a driver but does not live with the family. He left Tanvir’s mother even before the birth of their younger son and later remarried. Since then, he has provided no financial support for Tanvir or his brother. Tanvir’s younger brother is only one year old. Since there is no one to take care of the baby, Tanvir’s mother is unable to go out to work. This leaves the family with no stable source of income. Tanvir’s grandparents sometimes offer small help, but it is not regular or sufficient to cover daily needs. In this difficult situation, managing Tanvir’s education expenses has become a heavy burden for his mother. She struggles every day to ensure that Tanvir can continue his studies despite the lack of resources. With the support of a sponsorship, the cost of Tanvir’s education would be eased, allowing his mother some relief and helping Tanvir continue his schooling with hope and stability for a better future.
