Subhe Wajiha
(Feni)
Wajiha is a bright and determined Class 7 student who refuses to let hardship dim her hope. Her father, once the family’s provider while working in Saudi Arabia, suffered a stroke three years ago that left him partially paralyzed and unable to work. Her mother cannot earn either. The family lost its only source of income and now depends entirely on the help of grandparents and her uncle. Without a home of their own, Wajiha and her family live in her uncle’s house, where they struggle to meet even the most basic needs. Wajiha’s school fees of 700 taka and tuition costs of 1,000 taka per month are a heavy burden. Even providing her with essential school supplies often becomes a struggle. Despite these challenges, she continues her studies with dedication and works hard to keep up with her lessons. With sponsorship, Wajiha would have the opportunity to continue her education without interruption, giving her the stability and resources she needs to thrive academically and personally.
