Mayesha Akter Ispa
(Feni Sadar, Feni)
Ispa is a young girl with big dreams, but her life has been filled with challenges from an early age. Her father passed away three and a half years ago after suffering a stroke, leaving the family without any support. Since then, her mother has been the only breadwinner, working hard to provide for the children. Unfortunately, her wages are very low and have even been reduced recently, making survival even harder. The family has no relatives to turn to for help. Ispa has two younger siblings who both study at a madrasa—her brother is 9 years old and her sister is 7. Together, their education costs around 1,000 taka each month, with 400 taka going towards her brother’s tuition, and additional exam fees for her sister. Despite these difficulties, Ispa continues her studies with determination. The family manages only through her mother’s small income and occasional support from kind people. With a little help, Ispa and her siblings can continue their education and work toward a brighter future.
