Nusrat lives in a small, crowded room in Sattala slum with her parents, two siblings, and elderly grandparents. Her family struggles with space and finances, so much so that her brother now sleeps in a makeshift room outside, as they cannot afford another room. Her father works as a private car driver, but his income is not enough to meet the needs of the entire family, especially with aging grandparents at home. To support the household, Nusrat’s mother started selling dresses in the slum, but her earnings are uncertain and inconsistent. With three children to educate, the family is under immense financial pressure. A sponsorship would not only allow Nusrat to continue her education without disruption, but also ease the burden on her parents, giving her and her siblings a better chance at a stable future.
