Nahida is a bright, dedicated girl who has a strong passion for education. One day, she hopes to become a teacher so she may inspire the next generation and spread that passion to others. For Nahida, life hasn't been simple. About three years ago, just after the birth of her youngest sibling, her father passed away. He was the family's lone provider, so her older brother, who was only 17 at the time, had to take over after his death. He got a job helping out with cleaning at a nearby poultry store. Despite his best efforts, providing for a family of four, including a newborn, was extremely challenging. They survived for a while with the help of generous neighbors and family, but such assistance isn't always dependable. Things have been increasingly harder lately. Her older brother quit his job to pursue his dream of opening his own business, and Nahida's younger brother recently enrolled in a madrasa. Sadly, his plan didn't work out, and the family is currently without a reliable source of income. Despite her best efforts, Nahida's mother finds it increasingly difficult to provide for the family and continue to send Nahida to school. Nahida is still optimistic. She clings to her aim of becoming a teacher and genuinely enjoys her studies. But without some extra support, that dream might be out of reach.
