Md. Alif
(Mohakhali Sattala Slum, Dhaka)
Alif’s life has always come with challenges, but the sponsorship has brought a spark of hope. He no longer worries about school fees or missing lessons. Now, he can focus fully on his studies, participate in class, and tackle each day with determination. At home, the relief is tangible. His mother, working tirelessly as a seamstress, and his father, limited by his injuries, feel reassured that Alif’s education is secure. The burden of daily financial stress has eased, allowing the family to breathe a little easier. For Alif, this support is more than just financial aid. It is encouragement, stability, and a chance to keep moving forward despite difficulties. His family is deeply grateful, and each day, Alif approaches school with renewed focus and hope for the future.
Alif is a hardworking 6th-grade student who lives in a challenging situation with his family. His father is unable to work due to a broken hip and leg, which limits his ability to support the family. Alif’s mother works as a seamstress, making dresses in a slum area, but her income is very modest and insufficient to cover all their needs. To help ease the financial burden, Alif’s father occasionally works as a mason whenever he is able. Alif also has a younger brother who is just 3 years old. Despite their best efforts to make ends meet, it is difficult for Alif’s family to bear the costs of his education. A sponsorship would greatly relieve the financial strain and allow Alif to continue his studies without further hardship.
