Mahmuda
(Mirpur 12 Slum, Dhaka)
The sponsorship has brought stability and hope into Mahmuda’s life at a time when her family was struggling the most. With her educational expenses now covered, Mahmuda can attend school regularly without worrying about books, stationery, or other school-related costs. This support has allowed her to focus more on her studies and participate actively in class, and she is gradually showing improvement in her learning. For her elderly grandparents, the sponsorship has been a great relief. With limited income from her grandfather’s small grocery shop, they were constantly worried about how to continue Mahmuda’s education. Knowing that her schooling is now secure has eased their financial stress and given them peace of mind. Mahmuda is deeply grateful for this opportunity and studies with renewed enthusiasm and determination. Her grandparents also express heartfelt gratitude to the sponsor, as this support has given their granddaughter a chance to continue her education and dream of a better future beyond the hardships she faces today.
Mahmuda is a 3rd-grade student at Pallabi Government Primary School. Originally from Bhola, she lives with her grandparents in a Mirpur slum area in Dhaka. Her mother was married off when Mahmuda's father died. Her grandparents are elderly and face financial difficulties. Her grandfather runs a small grocery shop, but the income barely covers their basic needs, leaving little to support Mahmuda's education. Despite these hardships, Mahmuda is eager to study and strongly desires to continue her schooling. With a sponsorship, Mahmuda can stay in school and pursue her dreams. She hopes for the opportunity to keep learning and build a better future for herself.
