(Mohakhali Sattala Slum, Dhaka)
The sponsorship has brought much-needed stability to Kobita’s life during a very challenging time for her family. With her mother’s ongoing health issues and her father’s limited income, the financial burden of education was a constant worry. The support has lifted that pressure, ensuring that Kobita’s school fees, books, and other essentials are taken care of. This certainty has allowed Kobita to focus fully on her studies without the fear of having to drop out. Free from financial stress, she is now more attentive in class and showing steady improvement in her academic performance. Her teachers have noticed her growing confidence and renewed enthusiasm for learning. Kobita and her parents are deeply grateful to the sponsor for this opportunity. At a time when life felt uncertain, the sponsorship has given them hope, reassurance, and the strength to believe in a brighter future.
Kobita is a 7th-grade student at Mohakhali Model High School. She is the youngest of three siblings, with an older brother and sister. Her father works at a restaurant and struggles to support two families, making it difficult to cover all of Kobita's school expenses. Kobita's mother is also unable to work, as she is recovering from a brain stroke and has thyroid issues. This has made things even harder for the family, but Kobita remains determined to stay in school and keep learning. With some financial support, Kobita can continue her education and pursue her dreams. She is hopeful that with a little help, she can overcome these challenges and build a brighter future for herself and her family.
