Samia Akter Chadni
(Mirpur 12 Slum, Dhaka)
Since receiving sponsorship, Samia’s life has taken a wonderful turn for the better. The support has eased her family’s financial struggles and allowed her to continue her studies without interruption. She now attends school regularly, equipped with the books, uniforms, and supplies she needs to learn with confidence. Her mother no longer worries as much about managing school expenses, and Samia can focus fully on her lessons and homework. With her sponsor’s help, she has also joined tuition classes that are helping her strengthen her weak subjects and improve her overall performance. Samia, now, feels encouraged and hopeful about her future. The sponsorship has not only lightened her family’s burden but has also given her the motivation to dream bigger. She is extremely grateful for the opportunity that is helping her move closer to achieving her goals.
Samia is a 6th-grade student at Pallabi Majedul Islam Model High School. She lives in a slum in Mirpur with her mother and younger sister. Her mother works hard as a housemaid to support the family since Samia’s father, Shipon, does not live with them. Samia's younger sister is just starting school and is now in the 1st grade. Despite the challenges her family faces, Samia is eager to learn and does well in her studies. However, the family's financial situation makes it hard for her to continue her education. With some financial support, Samia could keep studying and reach her full potential. She is determined to succeed and hopes for the chance to make her dreams come true.
