Monir was studying in grade 6 when his father lost his job due to the pandemic. They had to leave Dhaka, as it was getting too expensive for them to maintain a family of six without any earning source here. When the lockdown lifted they came back to Dhaka hoping everything will get back to normal but it was very difficult for his father to find a new job. Meanwhile, they couldn't pay Monir's school fees. So, Monir had to drop out of school. Now they have to pay all the due fees to get him admitted to the school His father is a carpenter, he does whatever he finds to maintain the family. Yet they can barely have three meals a day. In these circumstances, they cannot afford to put Monir in school again. Monir's parents had very high hopes for him, as he was really good at school. Monir's mother told us how heartbroken he was when he had to drop out of school. He always dreamed of becoming a teacher and helping kids like him to get a proper education. Because he knows how important education is, especially if they want to break the cycle of poverty. If they don't get any help, Monir might have to look for a job to support his family and forsake his dream of becoming a teacher and helping others. A sponsorship would help them a lot to put Monir in school again and help him fulfill his dreams.
