Khadiza's father, Selim, sells street snacks in a van. They have to maintain their family of 6 with what he earns daily. However, his income is very low. Moreover, some days he cannot earn anything if the weather is bad and often due to problems with setting up his van in a particular place. It is very difficult for them to live from hand to mouth like this. Still, he wants Khadiza and her siblings to study so that they don't have to live like this in the future. Nonetheless, the increasing expenses made it more difficult for him to support Khadiza's educational costs. Without any help, Khadiza may have to leave school for good. If she could get a sponsorship, she would be able to get her education without any disruption and have a better future that her father hopes for her.
