Abdur Rohman
(Mirpur 12 Slum, Dhaka)
Thanks to the sponsorship, Abdur’s life has taken a big turn for the better. He’s now able to attend the madrasa, something he always dreamed of but never thought possible due to his family’s financial struggles. The sponsorship has covered his fees, taking that weight off his family’s shoulders. Also in our program, Abdur is learning so much about values, discipline, and how to work together with others. Our other sponsored kids have become like a second family to him. They all help each other, share knowledge, and enjoy their time together. Abdur’s parents are very grateful to the sponsor for giving him this opportunity. We are also delighted to be a part of his journey.
Abdur often gets upset when he can't go to school with his friends. But his parents couldn't afford to get him admitted to the school. Abdur's father is a hawker. He sells onions and garlic. His earnings are dependent on the number of sales. They can barely maintain their family with this scant income. Abdur's parents wanted to get him admitted to a school. Though they tried very hard, they could not manage the admission fee for Abdur. Abdur is still very young to understand all these. He just wants to go to school like all the other kids in his neighborhood. If he could get a sponsorship, he could go to school.
