MD. Rifat
(Mirpur 12 Slum, Dhaka)
Rifat is doing so much better now that he’s received the sponsorship. The help has made a huge difference for him and his family, easing a lot of their struggles. With the sponsorship, Rifat now has everything he needs—like school uniforms, books, and other essentials—that he couldn’t have before. His parents are so relieved, as it’s one less thing they have to worry about. They’re beyond grateful to the sponsor for stepping in and making sure Rifat has the tools to build a better future. Rifat is loving being part of the program too! He’s made a ton of new friends and is more excited than ever to go to school. His joy and energy are contagious, and it’s clear that the support has given him a renewed sense of confidence. His family can’t thank the sponsor enough for all the help.
Rifat is a joyful 7-year-old. His high-spirited nature brightens up everyone around him. However, his life is harder than it seems. Rifat's father paints houses. His income depends on the projects he gets. Usually, it doesn't pay much. So, his mother has to work as a maid to support their family of 7. Though Rifat's parents work very hard, it's really tough for them to support such a big family. Rifat is the youngest of his five siblings. His parents try their best so that he is not affected by their struggles. However, it is not easy for them, especially in this time of inflation. With the increasing costs of everything, it is getting tougher for them to maintain their family. Even in their difficult situation, Rifat's parents want him to get educated and build a better future for him. But he often gets disheartened as he doesn't have any uniform or any other books except the ones given by his school to help him with his studies like other kids in his school. If he could get a sponsorship then his parents would be able to provide him with a better life.
