Lamia's Story Since Sponsorship:

Lamia has come a long way since her sponsorship. She's doing really well in school now that she has access to guidebooks and a tutor who can assist her with her studies. She is grateful to her sponsor, Mr. Allen Alam, for that. She is becoming more involved in extracurricular activities in addition to her studies. She is a member of her school's volunteer club. She wishes to assist her peers through the club. We are very happy to be a part of her journey. 

Lamia's Story During Sponsorship Application:

Lamia is a sweet 8-year-old but her reality is not as sweet as her nature. After her father's demise, her mother has to work in a garment factory. The little income is not enough to maintain a family of four members, on top of that the pandemic curved off the income more. Even after sending Lamia's younger brother to the village to live with their grandmother, they are finding it difficult to live by. Lamia was admitted to a school before the pandemic but she may have to drop out of school if she doesn't get any help.
