Rakib's Story Since Sponsorship:

Rakib is doing really well in our program. Even though his family went through various ups and downs during the lockdowns, he has been making a lot of progress. He is getting used to the new dynamics of his family. He is very attentive to his lessons at school and attends his tuition regularly. He's very active in our activity programs as well. He enjoys spending time with other kids during these activities. He is very grateful to his sponsor, Afsana Baig. We are so happy to be part of his life's success journey.  

Rakib's Story During Sponsorship Application:

Rakib is a feisty 9 year old at Mohakhali Abdul Hamid Dorzy Govt. Primary School. He’s a high energy kid that can be a handful to handle, but if there’s someone he listens to it’s his teachers. He is a troublemaker at home but also listens to his father, who isn’t able to stay at home at all as he is a rickshaw puller and he runs their family with his daily income. He has the peace of mind that his child is staying on the right path at school but recently fears that he might have to pull Rakib out of school during these hard times. If Rakib could get a sponsor then his father would be able to go to work with less of a worry on his shoulders.
